OUR STORY
In 1991, Lambros and Katherine Grandikis launched our business as a small retail shop in Tullamarine, Melbourne. Our focus was to supply local fish and chip shops. Our main product offering at that time was shark (flake), which we processed ourselves – the entire family would clean, fillet and pack the product for our customers. Fish and chip shops were finding it difficult to source good quality flake at reasonable prices, so we filled this gap in the market and further developed our offering.
In 1993, our business expanded to include foodservice and we moved into our own warehouse in Onslow Avenue, Campbellfield. As a by-product of good service and a broader range of top quality products, our business continued to expand and in the early 2000’s, the second generation of our family – our son’s, Tom and George, became more actively involved in the business. Tom now leads our Sales team and George manages operations.
